Splinting
Splinting forms an integral part of hand and upper limb therapy.
Its purposes are to:
- Protect healing structures
- Regain range of movement (ROM)
- Optimise function
- Substitute for paralysed muscles
Our splints are primarily custom-made using thermoplastics and neoprene. Some ready-made splints are available.

Philosophy/Aims
To optimise a client’s recovery from injury by appropriate, specific therapy and patient education, including their responsibility in recovery and self-management.
Early referral following injury or surgery is ideal in order to speed recovery and prevent complications.
