Work Health Approved Providers
- Occupational Therapy Assessment & Treatment
Early hospital based treatment provided, including discharge planning of equipment needs and
home visits as required.
- Soft Tissue Treatment
Assessment and treatment of soft tissue injuries using techniques such as trigger point and myofascial release, stretches and self management advice. Particularly effective for overuse/repetitive strain injuries and soft tissue trauma to the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the upper limbs, neck and back.
- Home Visits & Equipment Prescription
Assessment and provision of equipment needed in the home, vehicle or at work. Eg wheelchairs, rails, beds, chairs and changes to the home such as modified bathrooms.
- Assessment of Attendant Care Needs
We can provide an independent, comprehensive review of the attendant care hours required for
employees with severe conditions such as spinal injuries, multiple trauma or acquired brain
injury.
- Burns And Scar Management
Employees with burn injuries often require scar management that can extend over months or years. Total Health & Rehab can combine long term treatment with vocational case management.
- Disability Driving Assessments
Due to legislative changes, all people with injuries that could interfere with their driving ability have to undergo a disability driving assessment with an Occupational Therapist and a driving instructor to be able to return to driving. This includes one-handed driving and modified vehicle usage.
- Lymphoedema Management & Treatment
Early provision of information following treatment for breast cancer or other cancers with
lymph node removal. Treatment to reduce chronic swelling due to trauma, or lymphoedema,
provision of compression garments and self management regimes.
- Hand & Upper Limb Therapy
With combined Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy input we specialise in the treatment of hand injuries or related conditions such as, severe trauma and burns, lacerated tendons & nerves, fractures RSI, over use injuries and carpal tunnel. Customised, splints orthoses and garments dramatically improve the outcomes for injured people.
